Many of us use competitions to figure out what we are good at and comfortable doing and also what needs a bit of work. It’s like a personal fitness roadmap. Whether you’re acing gymnastics moves or struggling with the heavyweights, competitions make you see the big picture of your fitness journey.

Although I love the metrics tracking you can get from competing, my favorite part about competitions is the community. You don’t have to be a social butterfly to enjoy the camaraderie. Competing brings everyone together. The cheers, the high-fives, and the shared triumphs create an atmosphere that turns a workout into a good time.

Spending a day knocking out thrusters and burpees might not sound like a party, but trust me, it is. The mix of challenge and enjoyment is like nothing else. It’s hard to explain until you’ve experienced it, but the kind of fun keeps you coming back for more.

Finishing a day of competition leaves you on a high you can only get with CrossFit, win or lose. The satisfaction, the rush, and the knowledge that you gave it your all – it’s a feeling that sticks with you long after the competition is over.
