Making Time for Fitness: No More Excuses

At BayWay CrossFit, we know that life is busy. Everyone has work, kids with extracurriculars, family commitments—you name it. But here’s the truth: time is not an excuse; it’s a matter of priority. The real challenge lies in your willingness to make time for your fitness.

The easiest way to make time for yourself? Plan for it. You already know your work schedule and your kids’ activities. If you can plan your meetings and practices, why not plan your workouts too? I’ve been going to my kids’ practices lately, and I can’t help but notice that many parents are caught in a cycle of inactivity. It’s not that they don’t care—it’s that they haven’t made time for themselves.

But as parents, we never want to find ourselves in a position where we can’t physically support our kids—whether today, tomorrow, a year from now or even 15 years later. Prioritizing your fitness isn’t just for you; it’s for your family. When you make time for yourself, you’re investing in your future and the well-being of your loved ones.

I recently shared a statistic shocking many people: the average person gains 10-15 pounds yearly. That could mean an extra 50+ pounds without the proper exercise and diet program in just five years. No one needs that, and no one should accept that just because “it’s hard to make it to the gym.”

Making it to the gym is not a luxury; it’s a necessity. It’s not just about losing weight or building muscle—it’s about ensuring you can be there for your family in the long run. Do yourself a favor, and do your family the justice they deserve—make time to work out.

No more excuses. See you all tomorrow!
