Summer Weight Loss Challenge  This summer we are going to run a 5 week weight loss challenge ending in the Fall. We want to create a community competition that will drive everyone to be a little better. This competition will run from July 13th – August 19th. We are only going to charge $10 for this competition and will use the money to buy prizes for our winner(s). The more people that enter the more prizes we will give. The grand prize will be one month free of Unlimited Membership as long as all guidelines are met. We will have a sign up sheet at the gym on Monday,July 6th. On July 11th we will be hosting a fundraiser event in order to raise money for a great cause. Before she passed she asked everyone to skip buying her a birthday present (which was the next week, July 12th) and donate money to “Vanessa’s Birthday for a Cause” which was done through One Days Wages and Long Way Home. The money raised would help go towards building a classroom in Guatemala in an area that needed it. As of today she has raised almost $18,000 towards the cause. This year...

Whether you are wanting to be a competitive athlete or just looking to improve your fitness having a strong mind is very important. I have always been a decent athlete but was never ever to reach the level I wanted. I made few small changes in my training this year and was able to qualify for the CrossFit Games South Regional. One of those things was training my mind. It sounds silly, and if you would have told me last year that I would be meditating 10 minutes a day and doing Yoga 2 or 3 times a week I would have laughed at you.
